Lead Sheets (list) – Tom's Songs Live

These are the original lead sheets, as submitted for copyright registration. Note that many are not in the same key as the recorded videos. With age, my range has lowered, so I have re-arranged many songs into lower keys. Also, I used to play 12 string guitar most of the time, so kept my guitars tuned down a step, and the key and chords notated here reflect that lowered key, so now that I keep my guitar tuned to concert pitch, that key is often too high to sing. Finally, the audio set-up for my recordings does not allow singing and playing loud, and the quieter I sing, the lower my range.

For now, I’ll leave transposing from these keys to you. You’ll want the song where you can sing it anyway, right?

You will also find that some songs have been re-arranged: some words changed, where I found ones I liked better, some verses omitted if I felt the song was too long as originally written, or the omitted verse was weak, etc. Many songs have instrumental breaks that are improvised each time I play the song, and so are never consistent. But hopefully, these will, in combination with the videos, allow you to learn the song, then arrange it as YOU would like.
