Into A Simple Feeling

Into A Simple Feeling                   © 1975 Tom Shindler

  1. Waking from my dreams into the morning.
I wake into a dream come true.
My senses fill with beauty here beside me
As I wake into a morning filled with you
  2. Your hair is touched with golden from the sunrise,
Your eyes begin to open in a smile
You kiss me, and you put your arms around me,
And drown me in your loving for awhile.

(Bridge)   And with your eyes, you tell me that you love me,
In ways that words have never tried
To make me feel I’ve never been so happy.
You take away the fears I’ve tried to hide.

  1. And you tell me that you’d like to stay forever
With your words and with your touch and with your smile
Though both of us have known there’s no forevers,
We pretend we don’t believe it for awhile.
  2. But morning ends the night we spend together
To begin a day that I must face alone.
But still the love we made, to share will follow.
Into a simple feeling, it has grown.
